There is so much contrast in this program of short delights, we had to design two different flyers. On the one hand are several unusual works including Tarantula for solo viola; Disturbed Nights by John Hawkins, a set of variations inspired by a “mildly disturbing picture;” and an oboe-viola duet entitled Brief Encounters. On the other hand is a lighthearted trio by Pucihar; selections from Aaron Copland’s Old American Songs for voice and piano; and Schoenfield’s heartfelt prayer, Achat Sha’alti for flute and piano.
